I need some advice please!

on the 5th of July my previous address received a county court claim form Northampton from Restons Solicitors on behalf of Capquest

it states the original creditor shop direct

i do not remember dealing with or ordering with it

was dated on January 19th 2012

and its for the sum of £492.12 which includes court fees,

i haven't live at this address for nearly 3 years.

the letter was dated for 27th of June

i didn't receive the letter until the 18th of July

on the letter it has a defending form with it, which needs filling within 14 days of the issue date.

as i didn't personally receive this letter within the deadline, i have missed said deadline. so i am not sure what to do

welcome aboard

can you complete this please:

http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?419198-You-have-received-a-Claim-What-you-need-to-do.-**UPDATED-2016**

on the claimform there is a password for the MCOL website

see if it will allow you into the claim and if it does complete the acknowledgement of service [aos] box

defend all

leave jurisdiction unticked

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

You get 5 days in addition to the 14 days to allow for postal service, so go online now using the instructions with the claim to acknowledge the claim saying you will defend in full. You might be OK.

If not phone Northampton buk court tomorrow that deals with the claims and explain that it went to old address, so only just received. You might be ok to acknowledge late.

We could do with some help from you.

If the claim form was dated the 5th July you have until 4.00pm tomorrow to acknowledge service.
