hi everyone ,

I received a letter this morning from Lloyds "Jaimie graham director ,collections, and recoveries " the letter stated that Lloyds were passing my debt to a debt collection agency "Moorcroft group plc

"they have instructed Moorcroft to contact me, to enable me to make future payments to them ,

I have been paying the debt back, £1:00 every month since before june 2013 as that was the information I was given to do by the national debt helpline,

they said that as long as I,m paying something there is nothing they can do.

what to do ?

if moorcoft get in touch can I tell them to go away in army language or be polite l.o.l.??.

can I ask for the original agreement ?? help on this would be great. thanks

Moorcroft don't buy debts

They simple collect or chase for clients

Lloyd's are their client here

You ignore them

And keep paying Lloyd's

A DCA is not a bailiff

Dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

then as post 2

they can call themselves what they like

they don't own the debt SO ARE POWERLESS

Just ignore them. Completely. They cant do anything to you. Ever.

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

If my advice helps you, click the star icon at the bottom of my post and feel free to say thanks

Keep ignoring. They cant ever touch you. Lloyds use them because they simply cant be bothered doing the paperwork and they actually think a DCA has the power to do anything.

starting to sound threatening

in what way :)

lesscroft cant do anything, apart from continue to send you the same letters.

eventually, they will return it to loyds. and L will either farm it out to another dca. or sell the matter. they prob will sell it anyway at some point.

is there any poss challenge to the debt, eg cca request, ppi, etc?

IMO

:-)

Seriously, Moorcr@p knocking doors????

Get real, if a gypsy knocked our door selling wooden pegs would you buy them??

NO, and that is exactly what you do to a no powers uneducated commission paid beggar on your doorstep begging for money.

for general info re loyds when they assign (not sold) a matter out for collection;

there is a stage process of their dca's collection; calls, letters etc ending up with usually around a 40 % discount. thats it. the third party dca wont do anything else. if the final discount letter is not accepted, it will be returned to loyds. then farmed out again or sold. it will be sold anyway at some point, even if in a payment arrangement. dont pay the dca's in these circs (not sold). if going to pay, pay to the original creditor.

the same wld apply if already in a payment arrangement with loyds (the most complained about bank).

it is a feeding business, with advantages for the cruds et al. and, to think taxpayers kept them in business, at an eventual loss.

:)

sapper, do a cca request asap, if applicable, see what transpires. what is the debt; loan, cred card, o/d...

Just continue to pay the bank direct, you can ignore moorcr@p.

....?

i'll eat Old Cogger's hat if 'croft send anyone round whilst they still dont own the matter.. :yo:

Looks like there's a chance of some entertainment here ;)

I received a letter from Moorcroft stating their local Agent may be calling, and sure enough they did actually turn up at 20:40 hrs on the day they said.

My account is NOT owned by Moorcroft, they have been asked to 'administer' the account by Lloyds.
