charge for statements ?

asked MBNA for statements on my account for last 6 years they have written back to me saying that they are going to charge me £2.50 per statement is this correct as this will add up to £180.00 for the statements for the 6 years at 1 per month or is there another way of getting the statements

contact the ceo michael rhodes - michael.rhodes@mbna.com or call his office on 01244 672040. I am getting mine for nothing because I can no longer access my account online and therefore cannot print them off. If you no longer have use of your account then it's not your fault you can't access them. They will take a couple of weeks as the past 12 months are easy for them to get but the previous 5 years are stored in USA and take a little longer to get. You can also get them to send through what they call "footprints" which is basically a summary of what has happened on your account and who has had any dealings with it.
