Around 20 people have been killed and 42 hospitalised after a suspected terrorist opened fire at a gay nightclub in the Florida city of Orlando.

 

Officials confirmed the shooter had been killed by police and was carrying a “suspicious device”.

Gun control discussion will start again, but is toxic given their constituitional rights.

 

A friend of mine lived in California for a few years and went back to visit. On one day, they visited downtown LA and there was a gun fight between a gang and Police. They had to go and hide out of the way. Aparently at the time, this was not an isolated event. There are parts of LA where the Police do not patrol and advice is given to outsiders not to go there. If you go down the wrong street, you cannot be guaranteed your safety.

The gun manufacturers who earn huge fortunes and lobby relentlessly not for any inclusion in their constitution, but simply to avoid losing profits.

Sitora Yusifiy divorced the shooting suspect after four months of marriage and says he had serious mental health problems

 

Omar Mateen’s former wife says the man responsible for America’s deadliest ever mass shooting was physically abusive towards her, had mental health issues and was “obviously disturbed, deeply, and traumatised”.

 

HOW DID THIS MAN HAVE A GUN LICENCE.

 

Mateen had a gun license, owned a silver pistol and “had a history with steroids”, she recalled.

 

She saw in him signs of “emotional instability, sickness … He was mentally unstable and mentally ill [and] obviously disturbed, deeply, and traumatised”.

 

Sitora Yusifiy was married to Mateen for four months in 2009 until her family was forced to “literally rescue me” after he kept her “hostage”, she said on Sunday in Colorado.

The clamp down on semi automatic weapons and guns designed for warfare is being raised. I would have thought illegal to have in mainstream society. The problem also are the weapons changing hands illegally.
