pulled up outside john lennon airport stopped for less than a minute recieved a parking charge notice is this legal ?? help please

Why is it that changes are always made "due to customer feedback" as if blaming the customer for the changes? IMHO I doubt if any customer wanted a charge to be imposed. Rip off Britain again?

LJL covered by its own byelaws no no contract can be formed with parking co as the law take precedence. The money from a fine (proper fine under byelaw) goes to treasury so these bandits like to pretend that they have some claim and hope you believe them as it makes money for the parking co and LJL. As it is not "relevant land" under PoFA the parking co (VCS) cannot use the DVLA KADOE system to obtain keeper details as there can never be a keeper liability but that doesnt stop them from doing so.

At best they have a contract with the driver but they dont know who that is and you dont have to tell them.

If you feel you need to tell them anything just a short "the land is not relevant land under the PoFA so no keeper liability. Please refer the matter to the driver at the time".

You couls also complain to the DVLA about them giving out your details to VCS when they have no "reasonable cause" to ask for them and say that as this is a breach of the DPA you will be complaining to the ICO. You propbably wont get anywhere but by adding another complaint to the ever increasing list eventually someone will do a FOI request and publish the number af false access claims and then some MP's may get interested.

VCS do not claim to use the POFA, just make the assumption that the RK is the driver.

 

You need to just state that as RK you are not liable for the charge. Tell them to address all further correspondence regarding the matter with the driver of the vehicle at the time of the event. Tell them that no assumptions can or should be made as to the identity of the driver ( or ) state that you were not the driver at the time of the event.
