I was handed ''Breach of Peace'' FPN in 03/2014.

I didnt do anything about it as I left UK in same 03/2014 and never returned back.

As I stopped living at the address on which FPN was issued i never got the chance to see future developments or letters etc.

Now i am immigrating to another country and will need to get Police Certificate from

https://www.acro.police.uk/police_certificates.aspx.

Now what would have happened by now given they don't know my address.

Secondly what will show in my police certificate ?

If you are after a Criminal Records Bureau check then you need a Disclosures Scotland certificate.

This can be ordered from the link I have provided.

There are two types that you can get 1) .. the Basic Check or if you are working with young people 2) .. Extended Check. There is a third one but as civilians we cannot obtain this one for ourselves

It usually takes about seven days. Be aware of the documents that are required though.

Don't use an agency because that will cost you almost 2 to 3 times as much

Thanks HB for the link. Will update once i get my certificate. My concern was- can they register the fine with courts or enforce it when they don't have my current address as letters would be going back to them as addressee gone away

Issue of a FPN or not paying a FPN does not, by itself, give you a criminal record. However, if you do not pay an FPN, you can then be prosecuted for the underlying offence.

If you were prosecuted, you could have been convicted in your absence. I'm not sure but I imagine this would turn up on an ACRO certificate.

On the other hand, many unpaid FPNs never get prosecuted. It is very possible that your FPN was not pursued. In this situation your ACRO certificate will be clear.
