I missed my appointment with JCP last Wednesday. I did not 'phone them until today, and got a whole load of hassle.

 

 

Basically, my mum is in hospital so I have been very upset and I fell out with my dad, so have been staying with mates. All very high drama.

 

 

I was too down to go into see an advisor today. I told her I was still sick (which she was not happy about). She said she will put a form in the post for me to fill in. How long do I get to complete this form? Can I hand it in at my June 24th signing? She said no money will be released until it is completed.

 

 

People are saying online you only get 5 days to get the form back... some say a week?

The sooner you can get the form back, the quicker any payments would be released. You do not have to wait for the JCP to post a JSA28 out to you. Print off the one below and post it to the DWP or get it hand delivered to your local office (the preferred option).

You have 5 working days from the 1st appointment you missed to get the form back to them. If they haven't received it by then, they will close your claim down.
