  1. Anybody printed out and used the PDF version of the JSA28 form (the one that originated from a FOI request I believe) to inform the DWP of a period of sickness whilst on JSA? Reason I ask is that the form has a place for an office stamp etc., and I don't want them refusing to accept it on some technicality! Also, does anybody know what the actual procedure is regarding these forms? If I'm sick on my signing day, will I still receive payment on my usual day as long as they accept and have processed this form in time? Will it have any impact on when my next signing date is?

Hi, I missed my appointment with JCP last Wednesday. I did not 'phone them until today, and got a whole load of hassle. Basically, my mum is in hospital so I have been very upset and I fell out with my dad, so have been staying with mates. All very high drama. I was too down to go into see an advisor today. I told her I was still sick (which she was not happy about). She said she will put a form in the post for me to fill in. How long do I get to complete this form? Can I hand it in at my June 24th signing? She said no money will be released until it is completed. People are saying online you only get 5 days to get the form back... some say a week? HELP.
  3. Hi, Asking this for a friend who is new to the system. She is having a tooth out on Friday and its her signing day. The job centre advised she would need to take a period of sickness as she is missing signing and a sickness form would need to be completed. She asked for one when she informed them last Friday and was told they are not issued in advance and that she would complete it when she now has to go in and sign on Wednesday 10th December and her money would be delayed until the paperwork was processed. When I have been ill previously, I submited my JSA28 on the day of signing so they knew I was ill and any delay to payment was minimal. Is this the right way to do it? Also I have found a JSA28 form online at the whatdotheyknow site but its dated 1011 so wondered if they had updated it at all or was this OK to use? Thanks for the answers in advance
