Now i know this was an old payday loan from 2009. Notice they have defaulted it from when Motor Mile purchased the account 1/12/2012.

This should be off my credit file in a few months but for that default date.

They also have it down as a "Student Loan"

Suggestions please people as this is the only nasty left on my credit file now

Because the chap i was responding to noted that he'd just had accounts removed today also so i thought it could be linked.

When you say 'correct' that sounds like a temporary measure, how long till things are re-instated?

a little birdy tells us that MMF have been told to stop reporting accounts as defaulted.

or changing the defaulted date

a debt 'buyer' cannot issue a default notice

only the original creditor can do that.

Now all notifications to motormouth as to defaults were removed from my credit file two months ago and have not been put back on. Still wondering why but they did have bogus default dates and were listed as student loans

These go back to 2009 so are probably all statute barred anyway

What is going on with Motormouth??

Another email from motormouth

This time they are rather civil

"We are unaware of any issues with this account but if there is a dispute or query please let us know and we will work to resolve the matter as quickly as possible".

"The purpose of our communication is to firstly discuss any changes made to your accounts as previously advised and to reach an affordable solution with you".

Shame it is now statute Barred, i will have to do the unthinkable thing and phone them, better still email and put them out of their misery:madgrin:

I have just been notified my new noddle credit report is ready

on inspection all reference to Motormile and this default has now been removed with no explanation

Interesting??

Have a go at Experian, you get a free 30 day trial, but be sure to cancel as soon as you have received your report or the next month they will collect £16.

Ok, forget that, I see you have an Experian report.

You don't have to phone them unless you want to give them a piece of your mind and laugh at their attempts to bull poo you. Send them the SB letter in our library http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?387368-Letter-to-be-sent-when-debt-is-Statute-Barred-**Update-21st-April-2014**

Dear Mr

Unfortunately, despite our efforts to contact you we have been unable to do so.

It is still our intention to set the correct plan with you to clear this amount based on your circumstances all we ask is that you pay what you can afford. For example we have many customers paying as little as £5 per month.

You can set up a payment plan by calling us on 0113 887 6876 or by emailing us at customerservice@mmile.com if you prefer not to speak to an agent.

If you are experiencing financial difficulties we have a team of specialist agents who are equipped to understand and deal with your situation. Alternatively free debt advice is available which provides confidential and impartial advice from one of the organisations listed on our website, www.mmile.com.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely
