I purchased a £400 tablet in November.

And it's since developed several faults.

They are.

Tablet Screen is becoming unresponsive for 20-30 minute's at a time.

The tablet is becoming incredibly hot.

A system is popping up when the tablet is not in use (I only notice the error when i go to unlock it sometimes)

The error is ''Unfortunately the UI has stopped working'' - Causing the tablet to crash.

I have the receipt.

Can i take this product back to Argos? And if so what can they do for me? As I'm a student this is what i use to make note's and research with whilst in class.

So i can't really be without it.

I don't want another one as I did some research last night when the screen stopped working , and it seems other people are having the same problems.

Hi and welcome to CAG

The sale of goods act applies here and as such Argos are responsible. Do not accept any line that you need to take it up with the manufacturer.

Print off the other reviews that you have found then go back to the store.

Within the first 6 months of any purchase, it will be assumed that the item was faulty from manufacture. After 6 months, it is your responsibility to prove it was faulty from manufacture.

If you are asked to deal with any matter via private message, PLEASE report it.

Everything I say is opinion only. If you are unsure on any comment made, you should see a qualified solicitor

Phew! I feel so bad taking thing's back they sometime's look at you like you've done something to it.

I've reset the tablet back to it's factory setting's.

Because i didn't want the screen to go and then i couldn't reset it.

I've been told that it's up to the Managers what they do it is this correct?

probably an app doing it

it will get hot if the thing is jammed up and the processor is running all the time

Download AVG Cleaner

or CCleaner app from the app store

and start uninstalling apps if this does not cure it on the one hit wonder button.

99% of the time is the apps

not a fault with the tablet.

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

I have reset the tablet and it is still roasting in the hand.

If you carry on using it when you know/believe it is seriously malfunctioning, then you blow a hole in your chances of a good outcome. Take it in for repair now, while it's still under warranty.
