Hi all,

 

Hello and happy New Year!

 

I help run a medium-sized credit union. Although I'm not here in a 'professional' capacity, I'm happy to answer questions on CUs and add my thoughts where I think it may be useful.

I run a medium credit union. My aim is to improve understanding and awareness of CUs. I will happily give my own experiences & knowledge, but please be aware that all CUs are different & independent! I am not a financial adviser or a legal expert.

Hello Sparkles and welcome to Consumer Action Group. I am sure if you look round the forum you will see that we are trying to direct people towards Credit Unions. Especially those with poor credit histories and those who might be considering Pay Day Loans as a way out of their problems.

I'm more than happy to, if it would be helpful or if it would save confusion.

I've been with my Credit Union for years now, always found them very easy to deal with and a whole lot cheaper than any Pay Day Loan outfit.

 
 

Any advice I give is honest and in good faith.:)

Happy new year to you too. I am a member of my local CU and take pride in the fact that I am contributing to my local community.. as well as depriving the poredatory institutions of their profits! Every small action helps...!
