Are "Pounds Till Payday" and "MMF" the same company?

I received a letter last week about a "Notice of Transfer of your Account",

in fact their was two letters,

one from MMF, with whom i've had various letters already saying that they are taking over the debt,

 

 

then their's a dodgy looking letter from "Pounds Till Payday" s

aying that they have transferred the rights of the debt to MMF.

 

 

..the thing is both letters look exactly the same, the address is spelt wrong,

and it has a curious square scan mark, which is the same as both,

 

 

now call me suspicous, but the Pounds Till Payday letter has no address,

no contact number, just their logo in the corner.

 

MMF do not have my e-mail address or my contact phone number.

..i think i will just leave them to keep sending me letters all the time.

 

The debt is £253.97.

Letters from the Company should have their registered address and credit licence ref.

 

I think Motor Mile Finance have had quite a lot of complaints on this forum, it might be worth having a read round to see if you can find an answer to your question.

 

However, I am sure there will be someone who will know and respond as soon as they can.

No, they are not the same company. Both have independant licences and different registered offices. MMF are the bully boys for the payday loan industry as it seems they act more for them than any other.

Its industry STANDARD (And i use that word so loosely) for them to include a 2 letters in their first mailshot;

 

- 1 x Introducing & Transferring Rights

- 1 x OC Letter Relinquishing Rights

 

The latter is actually produced by the company receiving the rights part of their contractual agreement to collect funds owed.

 

IMHO this is wrong. Consequently this must be a "Yorkshire Thing"... Lowell's based just down the road, do exactly the same!
