Thanks for the link citizenB. As was said at the end of the album "So many thousands to choose from". Having done my degree in photography I can testify to that!!! What I like about this collection is, that apart from 1 or 2, I don't recall seeing these images elsewhere. Will be spending time now looking at the shown photographers other work. Some of the photographers work I have seen and were used as my inspiration during my degree .

some good pics there citb.

one obvious one not there in theme, that sticks, is the harrowing vietnam 'girl in the picture' (escaping the napalm drop). maybe too obvious!

IMO

thats the one, 'nick' ut?, recently ish she was reunited with the Wain news reporter.

i recently saw a docu re vietnam, ie the lost files. that image, seen before, just put everything into perspective. harrowing.

IMO

If you read the actual story behind the photograph the girl was running to where she had been told, by the troops, to get proper First Aid for her injuries. Was it that documentary where they reunited the girl in the photo with Ut?

oh ok, makes sense, the troops behind her.

it was Wain who apparently helped 'save' her http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/8678478.stm

the docu was 'the lost films' v interesting. unseen footage etc. but, had seen that image prior, and whatever was shown in the docu, that image just kept everything into perspective. if that makes sense.

IMO
