Had a account downgrade with nation wide a few years ago

told it could be up graded in a year times

tried no success so

3 years on tried again

told I would have to Wait for 6 years after the default was settled

said they are some are gone after my credit file

but they told me the date of one in 2007

settle in 2011

how can they still see this check my credit file not showing on any of them

Sorry I'm still none the wiser?

What is the issue?

Sorry had a default in December 2007 settled it in 2011

a default account is removed at 6 years i e December 2013

but I was told I can not up grade my bank account till 6 years from settled date

I e 2017

is it common practice for your bank to store data on you like this

So you were servicing the account (Debt) until you paid it off in 2011?

Although the default marker will drop off after six years, what is, or should be on your credit file now, is the info regarding your payments to it.

TBH, if you are trying to use the same bank I would vote with my feet and go elsewhere they have absolutely no loyalty to anyone.

Who ever heard of someone getting a job at the Jobcentre? The unemployed are sent there as penance for their sins, not to help them find work!

Are you still banking with them?

They are required to retain customers info for 6 years ''after'' the account is closed.

No mention of a credit card anywhere.

I'm more confused now. Please what is the issue? What do you need help with?

If your credit file is clear then why would a bank be interested in a credit card?

if the 'debt' was from within the same banking 'group'

then they will never give you an upgrade.

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

No it was bank of Scotland card had owed nothing to nationwide that's why I thought I was safe but when debit card came up for renewal they down graded it to basic they must have noted everything down on my credit file from then and used it now to base there decision on so hopefully go to some one new and they only see what's on my credit file now
