Yes it happens often Cap 1 have recalled the debt, and may be preparing to sell it on to a debt purchaser.

So Cap1 have passed my details onto Credit Solutions.

I have offered them £2 but they have declined it and they want detailed income and expenditure information, with copies of my wage slips, receipts and statements.

Shall I stick to my guns? Do I have to send them this information. They do not even own the debt....

NO you do not need to send these items they have no right to see personal financial documents.

REPLY, I have offered all that I can reasonably afford to pay and that is £2.00 pcm, any further action you propose will not achieve a different result.

Send the 1st payment with the letter.

Sorry not to reply earlier I have had no landline / internet since 2100hs yesterday.

Never believe you have to discuss your personal finances with a DCA they are not entitled to this data, you must/can assess what (if anything) you can afford to pay,

get the DCAs bank details and if YOU WANT to set up a standing order for the£1-2 pcm don't be bullied!!

I just need a little advice - credit solutions have written to me and said they might consider my offer if I fill out an income and expenditure form and any doctors information that I have.

They definitely are not getting any medical info, but should I send a I & E form?

pers until you know who owns this debt

i'd be doing nothing till you get a CCA request off to CSL.

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

if cap1 own the debt

you pay the OC as you have been already

ignore silly DCA letters.

i'd still be sending a CCA request regardless.
