BC sending out generic letters about BC a/c's

We all seem to have had the same mailshot and considering the news about BC this morning perhaps they are trying to raise their bonus fund!

 

 

I have confirmation from FOS that BC do not have a copy of my CCA and we ended up at stalemate, not accepting a full and final offer . . . so after this new line of contact is the general census to sit back and see what happens next?

 

 

Yes do nothing, there is a great deal more to Barclays troubles and the investigations than meets the public eye!

Has anyone been getting any phone calls as well? I keep getting a Private number ringing me 2-3 times a day and not sure its related, coincided with around the time they were sending the letters out.

When you say "private" do you mean "with-held" ? It is my understanding that they should not use with-held numbers!

 

If this is happening, then you might want to speak to your service provider.

I get a mixture of coming up with Private Number and Unknown, I also get a bunch of PPI/insurance who knows what calls and texts as well (which go on my block list) so it may be more related to normal spam but has definitely been few more than normal last couple of weeks.

Here we are two months later and I haven't had any sort of follow up, having ignored the original letter after reading posts and comments here at CAG. I'm in a much better personal position now and thinking carefully about taking on the alleged original creditor. 'Red ink' is just that, it can't hurt you. Keep a cool head and take a deep breath before taking careful aim, then let the barstewards have it with both barrels.

We get "private number" calls from relatives and friends who have with held numbers, but many have proved to be "sales calls" from PPI chasers/will writers etc.

 

 

Some are blocked some I like to "play with" so it costs them to call.

I almost dare not say it but, so far all quiet still on the B/cd front - let's hope this post does not start off another round of phone calls and pointless letters from them!

Sit back enjoy the pollution levels today and let's see what, if anything, transpires.

They also haven't updated my credit report with a default, March update was same as it has been the last couple years.

Not too long ago when assisting someone with BC credit reporting I phoned and aske to speak to the data control department manager/ director (the data controller) the credit control dept., expert told me " I don't think we've got one of those!!

 

 

Says it all I think.
