Hi all,

I am after some advice.

I have a CC debt with HSBC I defaulted on in 2010.

Since then they passed to MCS and I have been paying £80 a month.

Balance is now £7800.

obviously I have a default on my file.

I am hoping to do a full and final settlement offer with MCS but need advice on how much to offer, what I need to make sure is done and will this improve my file at all?

I have noticed on Experian that HSBC are still marking defaulted every month. From my understanding the default will fall off my file in 2016. is this correct?

thanks for your help

not only the default

but the whole account will vanish too.

however that does not mean its not owed

have you ever sent them an SAR

to get all the statements

and looked at PPI & PENALTY charges reclaiming?

MCS are HSBC in house DCA

so an F&F wont really work.

pers i'd be reclaiming first before looking at F&F.

when did you take the card out>??

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.

The card was issued in 2005, the debt built up by my ex mainly but its in my name only.

I have before asked about PPI and charges but found HSBC to be very unhelpful, came up with about £48 on the account for charges. However I know there was far more.

I know they are in house for them, so assume that is why HSBC are still marking my file and no mention of MCS?

Default date is 31/12/2010

thanks

Sorry am new to this what is a SARS?

SARS - Subject Access Request - it is a legal request for all data that the company hold on in respect of your financial relationship with them. It will cost you £10.00 and they have 40 calendar days in which to provide this information.

You should be able to see if there were any other charges or Payment Protection Insurance from these records.
