hi can you help me ,

I'm in exactly the same position as you

placed a credit order for sofa on thurs and

came away after realising we hadn't been given the option or indeed read our t &c s by the sales rep at scs ,

after much thought we decided the sofa was too pricey anyway

and because we had not been given the option to read through t&c s

(rushed sale as it was late in evening.)

we believe we are well within our rights to cancel .

spoke to store manager this morning who took all day to call us back and argued it out with us and

said we had ' buyers remorse ' whatever that means .

He has said he will speak to regional manager , but he said he will probably say no ,

I just want to cancel the credit agreement and sofa order for a sofa that hasn't even been made yet !

Any suggestions or

should I just get intouch with CEO in the grounds that I've been mis-sold the product ?

Sorry to go on desperate for help here !

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

hi

I placed an order for a sofa on Thursday eve ,

I don't want the sofa as I felt we were rushed and slight pressurised .

Called up Barclays ( the finance provider ) and they said SCS hadn't even processed anything ( that was today )

and that I should be able to cancel .

I've spoken to the manger three times and he won't let me cancel the sofa order ( even thou it's not been 'made '.)

can somebody please help?

You have every right to cancel, even if its a specialist order.

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

Tut tut, won't let you cancel hey, well refuse at his peril.

You have an automatic right to cancel, it's called a cooling off period and should be at least seven days.

Get in touch with trading standards in your area and tip them off, then make a serious formal complaint about this 'soon to receive his P45 manager' to his own area manager and impress upon him, that should this matter not be dealt with to your satisfaction you will inform the CEO.

Any luck, gwhiz03?? I was also tricked into signing that monstrous terms. But don't let them cow you down. They will refund you the money completely.

I had horrible experience with SCS.
