Just got this reply back:

 

I am sorry to hear you feel that you cannot accept this product because the box has been opened.

 

This product has not been used.

 

Under the terms and conditions, our obligation is to replace you with a like for like product, this does not have to be an unopened product.

 

We have offered you a higher specification with a 90 day warranty.

 

Your original product was out of warranty with a year wear and tear attached to it. Under the Sales of Good Act the onus is on the customer to prove the item is faulty over six months. As a gesture we did this for you and offered you an initial repair, unfortunately due to the replacement parts being obtainable we are offering you a replacement this does not have to be un-opened box.

 

If you are wanting an exact similar spec, this will again be an box opened product.

that IF the model they are giving you

goes faulty after 6ts

under soga, its for you to get a report

prior to that its their problem

I just get the feeling they've opened the box on purpose just so they can only give me 90 days warranty....
