  1. Someone states they have recorded a video of me in a supermarket carpark showing me doing something illegal (I wasn't). So you are saying that even though the carpark is private land, they are entitled to make that recording? I'm not questioning your initial reply, just clarifying. Thank you.
  2. Hi, I'm not sure if this is something you deal with. I realise that it is permissible for someone to photograph/video someone else on public land such as pavements etc., but does the same apply to private land such as a supermarket carpark? Thank you.
  3. Thank you, I only have a broadband and phone contract so I will be ok. Home phone I mean.
  4. Sky have told me they are going to increase my broadband subscription by 17.8% in April. I've gone through their T&C's but cannot see if I am allowed to cancel without penalty, my contract ends November 2023. Does anyone know the answer, please? TIA
  5. Well they won't do that as I have no intention of breaking the rule. But that's good to know. Thank you.
  6. Just to clarify, I haven't had a 'fine' but I do have a malicious neighbour who would report me even though I wouldn't break a ban. Thanks for the replies.
  7. Hi, Just a general query at the moment. Can a water utility actually fine someone if they break a hosepipe ban? I have always thought that as they are private companies they have no right to do so? Or am I wrong? Thank you.
  8. Ok Dx, point taken. But it really grips me that of all people, the DVLA are complicit in a fraud and getting away with it. But then I suppose we shouldn't expect any different from a Govt. department.
  9. I don't know why, but looking at previous posts about private parking tickets, one of the things you tell people to do is to see if signs etc. have planning permission. If it makes no difference if they have or haven't then what is the point of telling them to find out? It would be my guess that 90%+ of private parking company's do not have PP for their equipment yet they are fleecing the public of millions of pounds and getting away with it. Anyway, I'll forget all about it and let them carry on.
  10. Because the LPA, DVLA and so far the BPA are all saying there is nothing wrong with what Parking Eye are doing. Particularly the DVLA who say 'nothing to do with us gov, see the BPA'
  11. Further update: I informed DVLA about this but they have said a sign is a sign whether or not it has PP, and PE are entitled to ask for keeper details. I reminded them that they had not said anything about the ANPR cameras, their silence on this is deafening. I have also reported PE to the BPA, but so far not received a reply.
