Hi

am after some help, my house is due for repossession on the 21st october by NRAM. I have arrears of just over £3400 and have been to court twice before but in September I lost my job which meant I didnt have the money to make my payment on time. I phoned NRAM who said this would be ok as long as I made the payment. I did make the payment but it was late and since then they have said ive broken the court order so they are going for possession of the house. I now have a date which is the 21st. I am now back in work. Since I last went to court I have made all payments on time just this one was late. Can some one help with my statement for court.

Thanks

You'll need to make an application to stay the eviction, on form N244. It's quite simple and if the circumstances are as you describe them, I cannot imagine that the judge would not give you another attempt at keeping to the order.

People do lose jobs, and the courts understand that, and so long as you can show you are back up to date and in a position to continue to pay, then you should be fine. Try not to worry. See the guide at the top of this forum regarding repossession, it has the N244 and an income and expenditure form attached to it, as well as a comprehensive guide written by Ell-enn. If you follow it, you'll be giving yourself the best chance of success.
