thank you everyone, do not have a printer so not able to print anything and at the moment am using a laptop loaned to me as my computer died

Hello there. Does the laptop have anything Microsoft XPS? You can use it to 'print' something and save it on the hard drive.

 

This is irrelevant if need paper copies of course.

well today the summons,penalty notice has arrived, it states I was not wearing a seat belt and a cost of £100 or a court hearing but I also got another letter offering me a ACPO Your belt/your life scheme as an alternative, it is to be done online, cost is £36 and has to be completed by 25th October, a court penalty could be as much as £500

as myself and another driver I work with have both been stopped for the same offence and by the same Policeman I am taking it up with our boss as he was told about this, but if nothing can be done then I will take the online course as £100 is a lot of money! Unless someone here has any suggestions, it will be my word against the Policemans

i thought an appeal/complaint may have been possible as per eg pdf #25 p8, although is a different force?

not sure Ford, our boss is not around for some reason and we only have till October 25th to sort this, the letter is from Bedfordshire,Cambridgeshire & Hertfordshire Police

update:

Just to let you know after getting the letter from the Police, it was a matter of either paying a £100 or £36 for a course you can do online and as our boss was not around and you have a deadline to do the test by I decided to pay £36 and do the test which thankfully I passed!. There are it seems a few trick questions in it! Thanks to all who helped re this matter
