Help, I received this letter today from mucky hall. I had a wonga loan for £400 in 2011 I couldnt afford to pay it back and buried my head in the sand. I had all the usual threats, default notice and a letter telling me it had been sold to mucky hall. I got the usual threats off them, I have not heard anything for around 6 months until today. This doesn't sound like the usual threats and now I'm worried. What does it mean and what should I do. mucky hall are not on my credit report just wonga it shows default in december 2011 though the amount is now showing as £917. There is no way I can afford to pay this off and no chance of maiking any reasonable offer.

better still, use a site like photobucket and link them here. Saves messing around with attachments.

It's a regular threat-o-gram. Note the use of if maybe, could etc etc. It also breaches OFT guideline son debt collection, and you must make formal complaints about it.

Thats the whole point of a threatogram. To make you believe it is an offocial legal notice, when in reality it has no more power than your toilet roll.

The OFT. Just email them and let them know whats going on. They dont take on individual complaints, but do take notice of them when it comes to renewing their licence.

Hi Gunner,

I've received the exact same threatogram dressed up as something fancier. Looks like Mucky Hall are trying to get their petty cash tin filled by Xmas party time.

I've been telling them for months if they believe I owe this (Over £900 of it are charges) to take me to court, but they go quiet for 6 months or so, then start again

I am getting fed up with them now so am taking renigademps advice and drafting a letter to send to OFT. The only thing is am I right in thinking that they (Mucky) can't put a default marker on my credit file? I have never been defaulted by wonga and in fact this disappeared off my noddle file over a year ago, (never showed on equifax and I cant remember if it showed on experian)

I obviously don't wanna sound like a numpty when I complain so would appreciate it if somebody can confirm this please.

Gunner, don't let them worry you, just keep coming to CAG for advice

Also can a default be added nearly two and half years after they say you failed to make a repayment? I thought it was six months but am not at all savvy with DNs.... Thanks

Hi up 2, wonga defaulted me in 2011 I would love mucky hall to try to default it now. I will be complaining to the OFT. I hope their champagne fund runs out.

I'm slowly trying to sort my debts out this site is a great help. I have no doubt I will need more advice as time goes on.

This site is great, I was a quivering wreck when I found it and the advice and (genuine, non-judgmental) support is fantastic.

Wonga never defaulted me, but this also goes back to 2011. Mucky hall must be working in date order lol.

I'll also be complaining once I've found the answers to my questions. Keep us updated with how you get on
