If you haven't already considered it you might like to research if your mortgage was missold for example due, for example due to self certification or not checking affordability.

Hi WP3 I am bigmac's wife. Thanks for your reply. I was concerned that what you have just said would be the case, so I asked for a letter confirming this was their intention to be emailed to me. I have that stating that their intention is to request a sist until after the complaint with FOS is concluded.

 

I have also telephoned their solicitor and confirmed that they have been instructed by Blemain to sist, which they do not usually do, as they receive instruction the day before.

 

Should I still be suspicious even though i have a letter stating they will sist?

 

 

Absolutely you should be suspicious unless you hear directly from the court that it's been sist, As WP3 says, be prepared for a possession hearing.

I suspect their solicitors messed up but that they wouldn't have too much trouble amending the claim.

Have you checked with the court if there's a sist? Also if they are aware that the address is wrong.

Been reading up loads on Blemain and found lots of interesting stuff,

 

found a few things in the terms and conditions too that im sure can be proven Unfair

given the opportuniity in court.

 

My fear is at some point they realise this and drop the case leaving me with a charge on my house.

 

They do make mistakes and lots of them and i hope they pay for it.

 

I'm not sure that I follow you here Bigmac. If they drop the case that doesn't prevent you pursuing charges etc, which will reduce the balance. Was the original loan secured or unsecured and they later got a charge put on? When the debt is cleared, as I understand it the charge can be removed can't it? Or am I being dense?

Hi all, I'm home recovering but may not work again, selling my house and trying to end the blemain hell that I have endured for nearly 10 years now. Thx for all the get well messages.

 

Sometimes I guess you have to consider what's important in life, and your health is what really matters. I know this isn't a decision you and your family will have taken lightly, but I can't help hoping that you get something out of Blemain too. Take care my friend.xx

Hello all, I am recovering and getting better and just wanted to post up that due to my health problems and being unable to work I sold my house and settled my blemain account in full. I hope everyone who continues to fight this lot get a happy ending but for me it had to end early.

I settled paying just under £12000 which was purely charges and interest and it is good to no longer have the harassment from them.

I may one day return to this but hope you understand my reasons for settling.

Some things are more important than bricks and mortar or allowing the likes of Blemain to take over your life. Health, happiness and quality of life for you and your family is far more important. It takes courage to know when it's time to walk away, I've seen many times how much happier people have been when they've taken hard decisions and moved on with their lives.
