hi all,

was wondering if anyone has managed to successfully apply for a decent mortgage even though they have had defaults in the past?

Mine were all for pretty small amounts, from my student days, and have all been settled (the last one was settled around May 2002).

Now I want to buy a house with my girlfriend (who has a good credit reference), and plan to see a mortgage adviser next week, but how have others done?

Cheers

J

I had no problem, just applied for a remortgage a couple of weeks ago, my wife has some adverse credit which was settled 3 Years ago, we were at first quoted an adverse rate, but that was corrected on appeal. We have a good financial advisor.

Regards

Chris
