In a bid to keep my finances in check I am looking for a good budget planner, can anyone recommend one? I'm in a debt management plan and would like to try to save for my wedding too. I've found this one from Vanquis, but has anyone got any others they would recommend?

I've got my budget planned on there but obviously I can't change that each pay day to help with meal plans or to help me remember to save for my MOT for month x or my parking permit etc. Also the budget only covers my salary etc not my OH.

I have just drawn up a monthly budget planner Lilla and put a link into my signature. If you would like to give that a go and tell me if there is anything extra to

what I have done that you would like in it, then just say. I will put the link here as well.

lila, I am a little unhappy at the amount of links you are making to Vanquis. I am therefore unapproving those that carry links to that company :)

We've already done so within this very thread. One from me and one from my good friend Coniff. The one I've posted up complies with the industry standard and should be universally accepted by creditors.

Vanquis attract customers by only telling half truths, "You can repair your credit score by having one of our cards", that's just half a truth, you can do the same with any extended credit agreement that you make payments on. If you never miss a payment, that helps your score, but it don't over-ride the ccj's or defaults that might also be their.

So you can see that their only motive is to attract customers who are finding it difficult to get a CC because of their score, and then whop on a huge interest rate. They have no interest in your credit score, just making extra money from those that can least afford it.

Those with nothing are easiest to get money out of.
