I purchased a car in November 2012 from a 'trader' well i thought he was a trader anyway. He told me he didnt have the logbook and had misplaced it, i purchased the vehicle and applied for the logbook and DVLA sent it to me. However a few months later i get a knock on my door from a mobile money rep telling me the car had finance on it and they needed the car. He explained what had happened and i told him i had bought the car in good faith and did not know it had finance on it, whilst speaking to him i looked over and they had gone to the rear of my pivate property and towed it without asking for my permission ?? They told me they would sell the car in 2 weeks and i would be sent the difference of the money owed and the sale price. The car was bought for a few hundred pounds so i thought it wouldn't be necessary to do a HPI but i was wrong! I have the letter they sent me after i wrote to them. I have attached the letter.
