good morning have been reading on here for a while as i have an outstanding loan with speedcredit.. so most emails that i get from them dont bother me i just keep sending in my request for payment plan but this morning i got a totally different email from them which has thrown me now...this is it

This is a reminder that you committed to pay back your Speed Credit Loan*** debt.

This debt is now very overdue. We have allowed you to extend the loan as a goodwill gesture.

As part of settling this debt you are committed to paying GBP 2461 by 13.12.2012.

In accordance with the Standard Terms and Conditions you agreed to, we will be automatically taking payment tomorrow as agreed to therein. Please ensure the amount of GBP 2461 is available by midnight tonight.

IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU HONOUR THIS AGREEMENT AND THE PAYMENT.

If there are insufficient funds in the account and/or the payment fails, your file may be fast tracked to Door Recovery Agents and failed payment fees of GBP10 per transaction applied.

If payment continues to be non-fo rthcoming, then the file will be passed to our Solicitors for review. This may lead to a County Court claim (or Sheriff Court claim if you are in Scotland) against you.

IF YOU DO NOT WISH FOR US TO TAKE THIS PAYMENT YOU NEED TO CONTACT US ON 0843 381 0843 IMMEDIATELY SO THAT YOU CAN ARRANGE FOR REPAYMENT, STOP YOU INCURRING FURTHER LATE PAYMENT FEES AND ESCALATING ACTION!

If you have any questions regarding this, or will be unable to pay contact customer services NOW!

Yours sincerely,

Speed Credit are known for making mulitple requests for payments from bank accounts. You really need to get in touch with your bank and demand they do not permit any unauthorised withdrawals.

Hi ohh,

This email is one of their automated threatening emails, so no different to the ones you received before.

You should cancel your card (lost) and get a new one (in addition to the request to the bank to not honor CPAs to them). I understand your incoming money was today, so let us know how you got on and if anything happened or if you need more advice.

Have a read of the following..

Once you have advised the company that you are withdrawing your permission and told the bank NOT to pay.. then they should follow those instructions.

They would have to issue a claim through the courts which you would have the opportunity to defend. They would then have to obtain a Judgment against you. The Judge might have other ideas, especially if you put forward a proper defence which shows that you have made serious attempts to enter into a repayment plan - where all you have been met with is threats.

If it does come to a time when they issue a claim, then you would also need to provide a budget sheet for the court - who would take your other commitments, especially priority commitments into consideration.

Keep a check on you bank account.
