I have been making payments on two unsecured loans via payplan but recently LTSB wrote to me saying that I had defaulted. I contacted payplan and they said ignore the letters but forward them to payplan. I then received a letter threatening court action and payplan advised " it is their right to do so, send copy of letter to payplan again". Now have received letters from BLS Collections saying "I should contact them to advise of my proposals to clear deb, failure to do so may for to make contact by telephone or advise labs to consider personal visit". I am getting quite upset at being harassed especially since I have continued to make payments agreed with payplan to all of my creditors, the rest of whom have been very understanding. Should I ignore the last letter as advised by payplan or should I contact ltsb by letter, (I will not let them have my telephone number) or should I write to BLS? Advice please would be most welcome. Thank you.

Hello, have you resolved this? It ultimately boils down to whether LTSB have accepted your repayments or not. PayPlan aren't massively helpful in these circumstances.

Payplan are completely useless when it comes to court, I had to go to court to set aside a claim, I would take advice from people on here, as that is the only way that I was able to get it set aside.

I have complained about Payplan to the FCA.

To the FCA or FOS? Both are a bit useless TBH. Have you raised a complaint with PayPlan?

Hi, FCA, and they emailed me back to say that they had taken note, and passed on my complaints to Nationwide and Santander, as they cannot deal with individual cases, also they could not tell me what sanctions they would take against the bank/building society.

I'd complain to PayPlan using their complaints procedure and see what happens. In my case they didn't pass on the formal demand letter which obviously they should have!

Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regs, do they apply here? i.e aggressive
