Hello

Hello scotcall here can i help you?

You rang me...

Sorry, is that Joe blogs

Yes (just waiting for the DPA checks)

its about a debt from Crapquest for £xxxx, are you in a position to pay?

Crapquest, aaah have they finally got a CCA then?

A CCA?

yes a consumer credit act agreement.

Im sorry i dont know.

Thats not fair of them asking for you to collect it when they havnt supplied it. I said i wouldnt have anything to do with them untill they got it.

Sorry i didnt know.

I think you had better get back in contact with them then. Goodbye.

ends call

That is a rough version of events, no dpa check and chasing an account in serious dispute :) No nastiness , just a simple no leeway chat , after all they were paying for the call lol.

phishing for a mug to spoof into paying.

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

I confirmed security with one lot and told them they needed at least an hour to hear my story about an alleged debt - told them I was not to be called ever again and if they did I would take them t court for harrassment.

Was told I could not take them to court as they were a solicitors firm and only handling the debt on behalf of their client. I just put the phone down and now have their number on call barring.

Them: Could I speak to Halibutt please? It's regarding an urgent financial matter.

Me: Who's calling?

Them: DCA

Me: How do I know you're who you say you are?

Them: I'm calling from DCA

Me: You already said that.

(silence)

Them: Could I take your date of birth and address for identification purposes please?

Me: No. You might be stealing my identity.

Them: This is DCA. We need to confirm your identity.

Me: Why?

Them: So we can ensure we're talking to the right person.

Me: But you've already said you want to speak to Halibutt about an urgent financial matter and confirmed you're a debt collection agency. Don't you think that's a breach of the DPA 1998?

Them: *click*

Please note, I am not professionally qualified in legal matters. Should you have any doubts, you should contact a legal expert.

However, I can and will help with matters regarding payroll as I am fully qualified.
