Just paid my final payment to Payday Express today - just awaiting the confirmation in response to my email requesting that it is marked as paid in full on my credit file and that my account is closed with no further payments required. I am ecstatic :whoo:

Just Muck Hall to go - £150 will be settled by November - and am then payday loan free for the first time in 2 years!!!! Nice Christmas present to myself!. Cant believe I never ever have to deal with them ever again. Sorry just wanted to share my joy on here

Blossom! Fantastic news.

I shared your feeling of elation when I got rid of PDE forever!

Thanks to a loan from a family member, I am now paying her back in comfortable installments and although still a few more of those comfortable installments to go... Great to be payday loan free.

Thanks Bombay - and a big yay for us! I dont want to rub anybodys nose in it with this post, but during periods of despair you do feel like you are never going to get rid of them, and it is quite a milestone for me

Awww blossom. I'd personally never see any posts of this nature as Nose rubbing. They always serve as some real evidence and light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm sure there are people reading these forums thinking that they'll never get out of the PDL trap.

So glad that this post and others like it serve as a reminder that you really can come out the other end with a smile on your face.

Do stick around tho. With your own personal experience in dealing with PDE and others, your advice and support to other people who are in the position that you were in will be valuable.

Regards :D

I certainly will Bombay, anyway I'm not officially out of the woods yet, still got £150 to go with Muck Hall for Quick Quid. Just deleted PDE out of my payee list on my online banking, just because I can:razz:, and it was sweeeet

They have been total a-holes to be frank. They backed off when I fowarded them a response I got to an email I sent to Alan Stewart and Sam Gardiner of East Ayshire Trading Standards, who are well known for being on Muck Halls case.

Loving that! I think East Ayshire trading standards will eventually be moving one of their desks into Mucky Hall Towers with the amount of complaints that they're receiving!!

I totally admire the way you've dealt with these 2 well known problem causers! I had months of living hell with both PDE and Mucky Hall. Circumstances prevented me from being able to pay, it was always my attention to pay them what I owed, just wanted a bit of breathing space in my hour of need.

Blossom I also wanted to comment that you aren't rubbing anyone's nose in it and as Bombay said it sends out a positive message that you can escape it all. As you know I started a thread about it too because it does just feel so good to regain control of your finances. Give yourself a pat on the back and enjoy the weekend - especially if you are a Strictly Come Dancing fan like me! :-)

Hoping for a little bit of advice on PDE if you guys can help - I took out a loan for £660 about 5 months ago, unfortunately i haven't been able to clear this but instead have been forced to pay £160 per month to just 'roll over' the loan - if you do the maths - this means over the last 5 months i've paid them £800, i finally called them as this was getting ridiculous and according to their emails i still owed £860!!! They agreed to let me pay £250 this month and £250 next month to clear the loan ... this means in total I will have paid them £1300 for a £660 loan!!! Not only that, but after the agreement, they debited the £250 as agreed and then the next day, debited another £50 - cheeky buggers. If i'm honest, I'd rather not pay them the other £200 since they've caused me more in charges from stealing £50 out of my account and left me short for the rest of the month but if i don't pay the final £200 where do i stand? I told them in rollover fees i've more than paid what i'd owed but as you know they have an answer for everything and were adamant that this didn't count as money paid off the loan, i was literally just paying the interest .... any advice would be greatly appreciated :-)
