Hello all,

I have received a "PARKING CHARGE NOTICE" from VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEMS.

It shows two pictures of the rear of my car, stopped to pick up passengers.

I was not driving at the time it was someone else. The picture does not show how long the car was stopped. It states that "liability for this parking charge notice lies with the driver of the vehicle".

Do I have to tell them who was driving, and pay £60 charge?

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Thanks.

J.Mc

Best to send them one letter denying liability. Give no further information. Tell them that if they want to press the issue that you will see them in court.

If you want you can also ask them if they have any news on what happened when Simon Renshaw-Smith - their CEO was ordered to appear vefore Sc unthorpe County Court to deal with the judge's concerns that his company might have been in contempt.

After that don't get involved in any further correspondence unless they issue a claim - most unlikely.

What you should also do is write (email is also possible) to the DVLA. Since the information about who was the registered keeper came from the DVLA you want to know why they have released this information to VCS when VCS admit that it is the responsiblity of the driver but they have sent you the charges. Point out in no uncertain terms you were not the driver.

(There is a change in the law from October 1st so get it on now!!)

Do we know what happened with regard to the Judges order for the Managing Director and the Solicitor to turn up at court on the 29 June ?

Do we know if the claims they had issued and won (if any) were overturned and if they withdrew all those that might have been in the pipeline ?

This was one on the ball Judge.
