Hi new poster so bare with me!

 

I recently had my tax credits go into my account on a friday,

so i did some shopping online for food for my children who currently reside with their father.

 

Now tesco dont take money out until they have actually done their shopping

which would be the day it is due to be delivered which was the saturday.

 

However on my way to work friday evening, 5pm ish,

i checked my bank account and found it to be £144 down which is most of the tax credit payment

and it also meant that the shopping didnt and wouldnt get paid for meaning

i had to find another way. (in the end i borrowed £20 off of a friend)

 

The payment for that £144 has now shown up on my account as it was bank holiday weekend,

and FOUR!!!!! seperate transactions from toothfairy finance of £36 each

have come out and i DID NOT authorise this.

 

Anyone know what i can do to get the money back as i really did noot authorise it??!?!

 

Any help appreciated!:-x

We have been telling people to put a letter into their bank instructing them not to make any payments under any circumstances to these companie

or ‘continuous payment authority’.

These are often confused with direct

debits, but do not offer the same

guarantee if the amount or date of the

payment changes.

In most cases, regular payments can

be cancelled by telling the company

taking the payments. However, you

have the right to cancel them directly

with your bank or card issuer by telling

it that you have stopped permission for

the payments. Your bank or card issuer

must then stop them – it has no right to

insist that you agree this first with the

company taking the payments.

Be aware, though, that you will still be

responsible for paying any money that

you owe.

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Thanks but the money has already gone from my account so i need to know what to do to get this money back as was unauthorised payments..

 

Read The Above Post Again, Key Words Are Charge Back + Continuous Payment Authority

 

Charge Back - If you send the above letter to your bank , they will look at this for you and see if it can be "ChargedBack" , In other words, reclaimed. It wont be immediately, but it does work.

 

If you remove the continuous payment authority, it stops them from being able to charge you card and account listed.

its 24hrs a day

use the number on your card

 

or phne visa.

 

the wuicker you strike the easier it is to do

Be persistent and agressive with your chargeback claim, it is your money! VISA treat lenders differently to retailers as the dispute isn't so black and white and TFFL are sneaky in avoiding a clear paper trail. They give TFFL 30 days to put up a defense although you would have thought by now they would be actively questioning TFFL's use of the VISA system.
