This has to be definitive proof that the accreditation system has absolutely no credibility whatsoever and the certificates are not worth the paper they're written on.

Rossendales Achieves CSA Accreditation

Rossendales are delighted to announce that they have been awarded the prestigious Credit Services Association Company Accreditation, an essential industry standard for all businesses involved in collections and a stamp of approval for consumers.

The accreditation comes after the roll out of the Collector Accreditation Initiative across our Rossendales Collect function with all collectors undertaking an online test comprising of 40 questions, which examined the knowledge and competencies required to perform the role of a professional collector. The test covered subjects such as unfair debt collection practices, treating customers fairly, lending standards, data protection, the Consumer Credit Act and dispute resolution.

Andrew Twine, Collections Manager, said:
This is a significant achievement for the company and highlights our investment in continuous staff development and approach to compliance in-line with industry standards. This accreditation demonstrates that we have instilled a culture centered around fair treatment of customers, professionalism and integrity
.

The accreditation allows companies to benchmark themselves against a high standard that demonstrates the proficiency and compliance that professional collections practitioners are expected to possess and has been designed to ensure that they have the required level of skill and understanding to work to the industry’s exacting standards.

Achieving this accreditation further illustrates that Rossendales put compliance at the heart of all our operations and are committed to improving standards and professionalism across the industry.

Recognition of Rossendales ‘Company Accreditation’ status will be displayed on the CSA website."

By this, are you insinuating that the Green ones is unable to (or has no) influence on how the debt collection arm of the business is run?

Not at all, each part of the business they have is supposedly different to each other and have differing requirements. Debt collectors as we know have no real powers so maybe a lot of the tests for this may just be they can do joined up writing, Bailiffs as we know all need a few specialities - the capacity to lie, cheat & bully & own black menacing type clothes. Their High Court division may just be the same as the Bailiffs with the added proviso they call you Sir & lastly don't forget they have the world renowned training department that they are proud to "Boast" of.
