Hi peeps

 

My OH has worked for a cleaning contractor for 10 years. She currently works on 3 different sites for the same end client with the last site coming on-line about 5 years ago. Today she receives a letter to confirm a conversation she had with her area manager a week ago that site 3 will be closing from July 20th. It goes on to confirm her final working day and signs off by simply wishing her well for the future. It is in effect just a 'site closure notification'

 

No mention of redundancy, no mention of notice period.

 

The letter appears to be a standard template bugger off letter as it obviously doesn't take into consideration her hours at sites 1 & 2.

 

She has no written contract (and none of her co workers do)

 

Where does she stand in terms of redundancy?

 

Site 1 = 25 hours per week

Site 2 = 7.5 hours per week

Site 3 = 5 hours per week
