I recieved a letter at the end of August from the above company who said PayPal had asked them to collect monies I owed them totalling 249 Euros. I rang to arrange to pay them in weekly instalments by postal order which they said was fine but a few days after making my second payment I recieved a phonecall saying they hadnt yet recieved any payment from me. Following their advice I sent along copies of the reciepts for the postal orders, which they said once they had recieved these they would contact me. That was 2 weeks ago and I have recieved no contact, however I thought it best not to send anymore payments until they had found the first 2 I had sent and confirmed they were showing on my account. As there has still been no contact sould I still withold payment or should I contact them myself to find out what is going on?

Personally I would keep sending my payments but do it recorded delivery. At least that way I would be fairly sure they had received them.

Pam.

Hi,

if I was you I would make contact woith Paypal and make sure they are a Bona Fide company working for Paypal, this sounds like a [problem] to me but thats just my thoughts. Maybe if you do owe paypal you can come to an arrngement with them rather than an outside company then you wont have to pay their additional charges. ( just a thought)

NCO appear to be very friendly with PayPal, and many, many people receive what appears to be a hand-delivered "missed you" card via their letterbox, when in fact, it's been posted - Saying that "Mr P Brown will be calling on Tuesday"... He never does show up. Many people have had success with just ignoring NCO, others have paid-up.

I'd start by requesting that NCO furnish you with a signed agreement between PayPal and yourself (difficult, as you may be aware). Also ask for documentation that supports their claim to the money they are after (ie: a letter from PayPal telling NCO to collect).
