Last year we submitted an offer on a repossessed house but our offer was not put forward. The house was sold to a landlord nearly £10,000 less than we offered (Checked zoopla)

It has now come to light that 3 other couples also made offers on the same house at the same time as us but their offers were not put forward either.

I have asked the estate agents for the solicitors name and address who dealt with the offers but they have said they will not give me their name due to the data protection act !

Without this information im stuck!

Thanx

Surely the issue is with whoever owned the house because they were the ones defrauded out of a better price? Do you know who was in ownership of the property - eg building society etc?

I'm not sure if the Data Protection Act covers businesses involved in a transaction - but perhaps check this with the Information Commissioners Office.

Thanks. Dont know who the building society was but im digging as deep as i can.

The reason im not willing to let go is for a number of reasons. One being that the estate agent was previously sacked by another company for a similar thing. (Reported in the local paper as selling properties to her partner and selling them on months later making huge profits)........PLus you find loads more stuff on facebook!! Thats going to be her downfall .
