Hi,we got a card from m&S with the 15 month interest free credit deal,spent money on the card and the first payment was due in january,,a week before the due date we had a refund of £160 back onto the card,not knowing if this constituted a payment my wife called them to ask if this would cover the £79 minimum payment that was due a week later,the lady advised that it would cover the payment but we might also receive a letter in the post with regards to this,m=no letter was received

anyway this morning she gets a call from a rather rude m&s advisor claiming we have missed two payments and now owe them x amount of money

my wife called back and spoke to someone else at m&s explained the situation and was told that the call she made was not logged and that the info she was told was incorrect and that basically the onus is now on us to make 2 payments immediately.

cant believe it ,,we acted responsibly by calling them up to enquire if £160 refund was sufficient,we were told it was and so left it,unfortunately my wife did not get the name of the original advisor she spoke to,,we dont want to loose the 15 month interest free deal aswell

where exactly do we stand on this matter ?

any info would be much appreciated
