yes I sent a SAR in March & got transaction history back to 2005 so a crossover with the card changeover so this cant be the reason for not sending any older then surely so pointless putting in one for the old account number?

an SAR should give you ALL the info they hold on you regardless to account number.

write them a failure to comply letter from the library asking WHY they have sent no data on XXXX card

when it clearly shows it with the limited documents they have sent so far.

So yesterday morning a big fat envelope lands on my doormat from Santander.

A repeat of the Debenhams transaction history plus a couple of random statements, one from 2005 & the other from 2004.

But also this time they have sent me agreements from 3 other cards,

Mothercare,

Etam &

BHS

which are obviously owned by them also.

These all date back to 1998-2000.

On their cover letter they have put how much ppi I have paid on each,

which is really only meagre amounts but should I claim for these also do you think as I suppose once the interest is added it will be worthwhile as so old.

Would I send these claims off together with the Debenhams one?

Would I need to do a fos form for each one?

Would I just put the payment amount onto a spread sheet along with interest %

or separate them into payment guesstimates (eg over a year) as I didnt have the cards for very long.

Thanks you. x

These are all independant accounts, so yes, sorry.. you will need to do a separate spread sheet and FOS claim form for each one.

You can however, pop them all in the same envelope if they are going to the same company..

You should also include a check list which itemises each "pack"..

1; - Debenham Card - spread sheet - FOS claim form

2: - Mothercare Card - spread sheet - FOS claim form

That way they cant say something wasnt included :)

ok, just found a printout of payments for one & added them on a spread sheet; only comes to 50 odd quid with interest so hoping they wont argue, lol.The fos form says please send all associated paperwork you have; does that mean I need to send agreements etc off as well?

ok thanks. x

I have just divided the Etam payments out over a 12 month period as account was closed early 2000;

each payment comes to £3.13 (14 on some to get pennies right) from June 98-May99.

Compound interest £1707.97?!?!?!

I have been reading several posts & cannot find anyone coming out with such huge figures as mine! Should the APR box hold the monthly rate rather than yearly? So confused! Filled in & printed all FOS forms for relevant cards so just the spreadsheets to print after double/triple checking I'm doing it right!

Also firing off a simple letter to all the other cards I have had over the years to enquire whether I had ppi; have some of the account numbers but not all so hoping they will find me on name/address only. Worth a shot!

Unfortunately they only sent me a transaction history for last 7 years so am unable to use that one. I have also estimated the previous 7 years based on the ones I do have. It's definitely the yearly apr that goes in the box? Sorry to be a pain, lol

  • 3 weeks later...

Received a 'we are looking into it' letter back today; however the only card referenced is the Debenhams one. The claim pack I sent also included 3 other card claims which I was told I could include in same envelope. Do you think they are going to ignore them or respond to each separately? Thanks

  • 2 months later...

Last letter from Santander dated 25th May saying they were still investigating & would contact me again within 4 weeks, didnt hear anything so rang them.

They said they had sent me another letter since which I obviously hadnt received & that they would post it out again.

Just received today & all it says it that they have cancelled the insurance so nothing about the claim!

Although I am glad the insurance is finally cancelled after asking many times only to be told it was nothing to do with them & they couldnt cancel it; but what about the claim?!

It is way over the 8 weeks now so what next?

oh well,

from the 4 accounts there is 3 refused & one upheld.

..the smallest one (BHS card) with a grand refund of £25, woohoo!

Not sure how the Debenhams one was refused considering the box was signed by somebody else but there you go!

Once the paperwork comes through from them,

do I go straight to FOS or respond to them directly first?
