Thanks everyone, I had already sent MBNA a letter explaining that they had not included all the requested information and have not had a reply from them (see post#7). I think it may be time to go to the fos.

Once the ppi is sorted, I will look to recliam charges.

  • 1 month later...

Mornig all, quick update. I have recieved a letter from MBNA which give total figure of PPI payments, interest and final figure payable to me.

However, I'm still not convinced, the reason I say this is because when I sent the SAR,

I asked for a list of all charges and transaction on the account from opening to present day which they never provided.

The list in this latest letter is just a complete set of amounts. They have not stated what monthly payments were taken so I have no way of calculating if it is right.

If ims or dx is reading, is there a way to force MBNA to provide a monthly list of transactions on the account?

Should I consider court route to force them to reveal payment history?

Many thanks

Hi

Depends how hard you want to push for older records (which they may not have).

What you could do is prepare the spreadsheet from the statements you do have and use the result to estimate what the previous amount could have been. That could give you an indication as to whether their offer is reasonable.

  • 2 weeks later...

After sending a SAR request on the 4th Jan.Today i recieved all the information MBNA were holding on me.

They sent me details of transactions with my credit card going back to 1998,and up to its closure in 2008.

I have totalled up as follows

£1287.45 in PPI not inc interest.

£536.00 in Late Fees and

£610.00 in Over Limit Fees.

My questions are.

Can i now reply to them with a claim ?

Can i claim back all these charges ?

Do i send my claim for all these to one place,or is PPI claims done seperately,so have to go to a different address ?

The total amount comes to £2433.45 without interest.

Do i look to reclaim 8% on this figure ?

Thankyou for any help or advice you can give me.

for the PPI fill out this customer questionaire

and do a complaint letter

send the PPI SOC, FOS CQ + Complaint letter to MBNA

for the charges

do a complaint letter

and send that along with the charges SOC in another evelope to MBNA

post your SOC's up here FIRST for checking.

genreal help

the SOC has a NOTES tab at the bottom in RED - READ IT.

Fill out the three columns [DAte/Type/Charge] for EVERY PPI or PENALTY charge

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..
