Update: I am still receiving the same old same old from this bunch! Every so often I am emailed saying that the account is going to be legally vetted in 14 days time, as well as receiving the accompanying texts to the same effect. 14 days come and go, plus some, then it starts all over again. In 6 months they've never even written to my home address, just emailed and/or texted. I've never responded and nothing different seems to happen. Apart from the fact that I did receive an email telling me in big red letters that they were adding a £50 charge to the account for my non compliance. Big deal. They can whistle. What's £50 when they've already made up the other £2400!

Hi there, i have read thrrough most of the posts on here and believe that some of you guys might be able to help me.

My current situation is, well, grim to say the least. I have stupidly got myself in debt with a number of payday lenders and i am now folling the advice you guys have in these forums.

My first step was to get in contact with all payday lenders to try an arrange a repayment scheme, out of the 5 creditors i currently have debts with 2 of these were willing to accept my proposals. (quickquid and 1monthloan).

However, the responses i recieved from the other 3 werent what i'd hoped for. Wonga said i was unable to set up a repayment plan until my account was placed into default. Any ideas on what to do next with these guys?

Secondly i tried the same policy with payday express and these guys effectivly told me the same thing as what wonga had.

The final company i am in dispute with is UncleBuck and these are by far and away the worst or the worst! After informing them proir to my due date that i was in financial hardship and was wanting to set up some sort of repayment scheme they did not even respond to the email until the day payment was due. I had recieved 4 phonecalls and 3 emails all before 9:30AM. Since then i have been exchanging emails with someone there who has told me that there is nothing they can do and i will just have to pay what is owed.

HELPPPP, WHAT NEXT?????:mad2:

Our Ref: xxxxxxxx

Uncle Buck Payday LoansDebt Value: £xxxxx

We note that you have not responded to our previous communications.

Your continued default will shortly be reported to all 3 major credit reference agencies and this will make it hard for you to obtain credit in the future.

The file is now being prepared for a notice of default to be issued and then for a Doorstep Agent visit to your property to try and resolve the matter.

If you wish to deal with this matter, please contact our office and one of our representatives will happily go through the matter with you to reach a repayment agreement.

PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE THIS MATTER AS COSTS AND INTEREST WILL SHORTLY START TO BE ADDED TO THE ACCOUNT BALANCE AND WILL GREATLY INCREASE THE AMOUNT YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY.

Please Contact us NOW on: 01138 8 76 876. Quoting reference xxxxxxxx

threat-o-email.....

they can't just create an entry on your CRA file

if the account does not already show

nor can they, as they are NOT THE OWNER.

only the creditor or the OWNER of a debt can mark your CRA file

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

They've done this to me. Reported a default in Dec 12 for a UB account that's been in dispute since'08. As said earlier, this just as defaults start to fade... Mmf need to be closed down. Sent furious email yesterday, will go to FOS and ICO if no response. Thought anyone?

Hi, I meant uncle buck!

Well by own I guess they've bought it for knock down amount. This is the first time any mention of the debt has been on any CRA file. I've been disputing the charges on the loan since '08.

I've had no notice of assignment or anything - i've not even had a letter regarding the debt this is the first contact from MM

I didn't have any contact either. Just a handful of threatotexts saying they now owned it-received mid last week. Equifax was updated 09/02 showing a default on 06/12- no default notice issued by anyone. I wouldn't mind so much if they'd just reported the original non payment from '08 - at least that'd make sense, now my credit rating is re-shot despite 3 years of gradual and tedious hard work.

Ignore it. A doorstep collector has as much rights as your next door neighbours cat. Infact, technically, the cat has more rights to come on to your property ;) If one of their muppets turn up, tell them in whatever way you like to bugger off or the police will be called.

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

If my advice helps you, click the star icon at the bottom of my post and feel free to say thanks

:D
