You can check your own value on glass.co.uk. It costs £3.50 for the value I think.

Unless it has very high milleage £2200 appears a bit low.

You can ask the FOS, if you can use their help with a 3rd party Insurer. If not do Aviva offer any independent arbitration to help decide on settlement values.

We could do with some help from you.

Gonna check that when I get home! Left my bloody bank card at home!!! It had 92,000 for a 53 reg. Not massively over the average millage for a car that old. The thing I can't understand is how there is such a difference between one site to another! Parkers and wiserbuyers both quoted me just over £2,900 for a car of my age and millage! Yet his has quoted him just over £2,200!! Wonder why they use that one!

Ask the FOS what they normally do, if the guides give different values.

We could do with some help from you.

According to their website, it's based on 3 different websites. Parkers, Glass and Caps. If one is much lower, or higher than the other 2 then that one is ignored! Suppose it all boils down to what CAPs says! Won't know till I go put some money in the bank on monday!!!!!!!
