Actually no. Need to know what credit agreement type it is. PGG will ask for this. This is important. PGG knows all of this legal stuff. Different types of agreement I believe have different ways of dealing with it.

What you do need to know and has not been pointed out is that it would not be unreasonable to expect you to take the car to a recognised franchise for an opinion. This will always outweigh an independant garage opinion for some reason as on balance they should know best ( though admittadly that isn't always the case but the courts will see it this way).

Right, well I have painstakingly gone through the paper work, and can't figure out information of the "kind" of credit agreement anywhere. I suppose I could email the copy of the 3 page agreement to pgg as well.

Of the second point you have raised, I had all the diagnostics done at Dagenham Ford, which is a recognised franchise. So I hope I did the right thing there.

Again cheers for the suggestions guys.

PS: PGGJ, friend you still haven't sent me your email address to send my documents to. Do forward me that ASAP. Thank you so much!

The thing you are looking for is the title For example if it has "motor loan" on it it might actually be a personal loan and the rights/liabilities are very different.

As regards going to a Ford Dealership this can only be in your favour. The fact that the AC system had to be re-gassed is often deemed to be a serviceable item now and it's hard to prove the system isn't working without re-gassing it. All down to being CFC free I'm afraid. Ain't nowhere near as good as the old ozone eating stuff used to be!!

  • 1 year later...

Andrew, would you like to re-write your post, you can intimate these things but not call them directly, it puts this site at risk.

I've unapproved your first post and look forward to your next.

I would be in your favour if you started a new thread of your own, this one is a bit old now.
