Hi

I am looking for an unsecured loan of around £6000 to clear off all my major debts, I have a poor credit rating, with defaults and CCJs, and was wondering if anyone could recommend me a company that would be willing to help?

I have applied for a couple that say I have been approved then ask for a £59 arrangement fee, I am dubious of paying this, as I don’t believe I have been approved, although they assure me that I have??.... Not sure what to do.

Many thanks

Vicky

Wish I was rich....... :(:(

Hi there, you will find that the companies who say you have been accepted and are asking for a free have only accepted your application ! not that your loan has been approved. They will usually "find" you a loan that needs a guarantor and refuse to give you your fee back.

Are the debts you want to clear all in arrears? There might be a way we can help you to reduce payments on these debts or claim back charges on loans/credit cards. If you give a little more detail as to what the debts are we can perhaps get to work on a plan?

Ell-enn is right. Try and sort out the debts you have. Please please don't enter into a new loan agreement, with your credit rating you'll only get accepted by a company that will charge an excessive interest rate. You will end up worse off.

quadrupified, you dont "need" a loan you "want" a loan (not knowing the difference is probably why. like most of us you are here!!)

why on earth would you want to borrow 6000 at sky high interests rates when you could arrange to repay what you owe at zero percent!

your credit rating is already trashed- if at worst they went onto CCJ's (unlikely) it would not be trashed any worse than it is now
