Good grief, I turn my back for a couple of days and DLA/Abbey suddenly turn all settlement crazy! Well done Alan, you must be really pleased (we danced in the hall when our letter arrived - hope you did too!) Does this mean our date at the Court is now cancelled and no post hearing celebration at the Castle & Falcon will take place! I was really looking forward to it.

Can the Derby branch convene a celebration anyway - we seem to have all won. We might even let a few of the Notts folk come too (well Jonni2bad made me laugh at the BAG party so he could come along - he looks like Brad Pitt so he tells me, as long as he can get over the cattle grid safely - bless!)

Alan... You may not be able to answer this, but I'm hoping... I'm in Scotland, and I am going to the Sheriff court tomorrow to start claim against Abbey for DPA Non Compliance. The thing is, we don't have N1 forms here, and no-one seems to have done this in Scotland... Do you know if it it just forms 1, 1a and 1b I use..?

I really don't want to get this wrong...

Abbey - 547.00 settled in full.

Second claim: £204 WON.

Barclaycard - 142.88 incl interest due WON BY DEFAULT as they didn't even bother entering a defence. Barclaycard paid up £184.88.

MBNA - Concluded £634.31

Capital One Concluded £148

Kinda disappointed I've no more banks to go after now...

Yes.. I think it might come to that. I just wanted to breeze in confidently... I think I'll fill in the forms that I think it is, and ask them to clarify. Just a bit worried as DPA non compliance seems to confuse the baybee-jaysus out of the courts... AND it's a tiny village court... Think it could be a confusing day for all.

Abbey do like to make heavy work of these things!!

Finally on Tuesday they paid the money into my account.......however, they paid it in by cheque, meaning that I can't get my hands on it until next Tuesday!!!

It's a bit much when they can't even trust their own cheques to clear! :(

So, got to wait until Tuesday for my shiny new laptop!

Now, time to get my prelim letter written for a refund of the £105 they have charged me since my action started, and the reversal of the £35 they say they are going to charge me next month. :)

....and of course you may see that I have another thread started for my daughters claim.

Keep up the good work!

I wouldn't be at all surprised if they make you go through the whole sharade again. At least you won't have to wait for the SAR this time.

Abbey - Won DPA Claim - Aug 06 and got bailiffs in to recover my court costs of just £30.00

Abbey - Won Charges Refund of £1050 - Nov 06

Egg - Recovered £220 due to Customer Services misinformation - Feb 2007

Nat West - Prelinimary Letter to recover on Credit Card charges £30.00 sent March 2006. £25.40 offered - rejected and the bank reckons that this is it's last word on the matter. We'll see if that's still the case when it reads my N1 form sent recently. It has until the 17th April to respond or the N1 will be submitted.

I love the thought that just when the banks think they have seen the last of a CAG member & good riddance (they think) then that same member comes back on behalf of a family member. Oh! to be a fly on the wall

I know! I'm all fired up ready to take action on behalf of my sister-in-law once mine is over. It's a little addictive!
