hi to the forum members.

I had a business account with hsbc set up as a sole trader. I struggled with the business as no work coming in and they paid a direct debit to the princes trust for a start up loan when i had no money in the account.

although it was for £50 they have put the charges on even though i spoke to them and told them i was in no position to pay.

i was in financial problems and the hsbc has closed the account and sold the debt to lowells, I explained to lowell that i owed the £50 and would pay this but the rest was in dispute.

Lowells accepted this but stupid me did not understand that this ment that lowells would hound me for £295 of charges and they have credit blacklisted my file over this.

so the question is how do i go about claiming the charges?

can Lowells put a mark on my credit file when a debt is in dispute?

is there any letters that i should send to hsbc

I am on job seekers at the moment so could i claim under the financial hardship rule?

thanks for any help that the forum can provide.
