bank charges help needed

i wrote to my bank to claim unfair charges, on the 14th day i recieved a letter stating that until the test case was decided the will not do anything is there anything i can do ?

the bank has to supply the information requested, only the court has the power to stay a claim.

Thats good advice from marcaz, If you should wait for the test case to conclude then you can claim 6 years from that date, this might go on a while longer, so issue your claim now.

my claim goes back about three years, the letter from nationwide states that any court claims will be not proceed until the test case has been resolved.

any ideas on the next letter i sfould send.

no i down loaded all my statements from my internet bank which to be honest they back far enough

It's not 6 years, the clock stopped on 27th July 2007 on the announcement of the OFT test case so it is 6 years from that date so july 2001 to present day.

Do I have to quote FSA Waiver on that as well?

If you are on benefits you make a court claim free.

Did you add interest at the banks unautherised rate, makes a big difference.

it's letter before action ie 14 days or you take court action(which will automatically be stayed)
