Fingers crossed all goes ok, was a bit worried booking so far in advance as I have no idea if I will be well enough but it is 1/2 term week so needed to do it sooner rather than later, got to keep working now to earn more holiday tokens ha ha

This is something that worries me too. I do want to go away; but I have no idea how I will actually be on the day It'll be such a waste if I'm not well enough to go.

I will do, thanks. :)

Dad walked into the front room, made a fuss of one of the dogs and walked off. I said "oh, you forgot the baby". He comes back and patted me on the head. I meant the dog the other side of me. I am not the baby of the family!

On the subject of my parents dogs, one came in today and wanted to sit next to me. He headbutted the sofa.

Sometimes it's worth taking risks Nys or you end up doing nothing.

Sounds fabulous AB. Try not to worry or you'll end up MAKING yourself ill. Positive thinking!!

My little great nephew trying to 'eat' my new parrot puppet - I kept telling him he was a pretty boy and he couldn't work it out at first. Then he started burbling away at me and the puppet.

Said puppet is an 'adult only' one, it has a mechanism which was disabled but fixed by my brother and it insults people in true parrot fashion.

It is now called O-man (after my great nephew Oscar)!

My brothers seem to be set on finding the more unusual puppets for my collection - but they still can't beat 15 Inch Johnny!

Finding out I'm going to be out of a job after next Friday.

I was expecting to be let go at Xmas, but it's knowing that my boss probably knew round Thursday afternoon and got the agency to deliver the news this morning is what made me swear like a trooper

Ho hum...

My dog loves playing with a ball on a rope. She gets the rope in her mouth and shakes her head wildly so the ball goes round the back of her head and hits her on the back of her neck. I've never seen another dog do anything like it. We have noticed that now and again they disappear so OH makes her new ones out of a tennis ball and a bit of rope.

DD bumped into a neighbours granddaughter today who mentioned that she keeps seeing balls fall into her gran's garden and throws them back over the 6 foot fence. DD asked if they're on a rope which they are, so as we suspected when the dog lets go of the rope and throws the ball around the garden herself they go over the fence. DD's friend couldn't believe the dog was throwing it over but thought it would explain why no-one said thank you when she threw it back.

I'll take a video of her doing it one of the days and post it up. It has to be seen to be believed!! :p
