I have 3 credit cards that I have been paying vanquis and capital one for for around 2 yrs and a barclaycard for 1 yr, I only ever pay the minimum payment but at the moment I am really struggling to pay that.

It is £100 per month.

Is there anyway I can arrange token payments with them and freeze the interest as the debt on them has hardly gone down.

I have payment protection on one of them (vanquis), but I am still working but only a few hours a week and they wont let me use the PP unless I am unemployed.

Any advice please?

You should contact the companies and explain the situation. They will likely send a form to asses hardship and may reduce payments according to this. If your income is very low, they are likely to, since any judgement against you would be on similar terms.

Additionally, as someone who once had large credit card debts, step 1 is to stop spending :)

Please note nothing I say constitutes legal advice.
