Just seen an article in the paper (Daily Mirror Sat 29)

Someone recieved notification of his D/D being increased by £1.50 But because it was hidden in a bunch of other stuff that looked like junkmail, he didnt notice it. When he found out he took them to court, but they settled out of court for £500

must look into it

Law says something like notice of increases must be clear and unambiguous

just a "head up to everyone"

Yep, well hidden. A couple of months ago I got a notification from Sky about a DD (subscription) increase, and it was on the covering letter to the Sky Magazine. I normally throw the whole lot in the bin, but something persuaded me to open the mag, and actually read the letter too.

Well I missed it:mad: I wouldn't have known anything about it if I hadn't read your post.

I have tried looking on their website and all I can find is a passing reference to 'some' package prices increasing in Sept.

I have only recently returned to them and am at present only paying half price (for a few more months). Think I might be cancelling again if they are going to wack their prices up:mad:

Yep. I even opened the 'you've won a million pounds' envelope too that fell out. Oh, and shortly after I called Sky to cancel my subscription as there was no point having two going at the same time :)
